Perhaps one of the most controversial things in this world is not warfare, not morals, but religion.
And, sadly all three of those come together as well..
Religion is a good thing. Or, at least, I like to think of it as. It helps millions of people throughout the world, it helps people get through their day, helps people in times of despair and the most problematic times in their lives and it's an overall wonderful thing.
At least that's how religion should ideally be...
However, as man is a sinner, man has perverted religion. Man has made religion into an organized business where they are selling something, and they're in the market..
Not only are they in the market but they've got the market covered. They're selling salvation, and you're their number one customer.
I find it funny how something as beautiful and divine as religion can be twisted out of context and used to shape the businesslike endeavors of everyday (otherwise good) men...
I was and still am a Catholic. I do believe in God; however, I believe that organized religion has strayed far from the path. I'm not claiming to know for a fact their is a god, of course not, it's all a matter of faith. I actually respect agnostics for their objective opinion, and consider myself semi-agnostic, yet I still have faith. I still have faith despite how bad organized religion gets. And it's only begun to get bad..
